Welcome to the OU Anthropology Department!

The University of Oklahoma Department of Anthropology offers a broad education in anthropology on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our curriculum is based on the traditional four-field approach in archaeology, sociocultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and linguistics. The Graduate Program in anthropology offers Master's and doctoral degrees. Our Native American Language Program focuses on instruction in four different languages: Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, and Kiowa.

The Department of Anthropology is located in Dale Hall Tower. Some faculty have offices in other buildings, so please check individual faculty web pages for information.
