Welcome to our department!

The University of Oklahoma Department of Anthropology at OU offers a broad education in anthropology on both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our curriculum is based on the traditional four-field approach in archaeology, sociocultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and linguistics. The Graduate Program in anthropology offers Master's degrees and doctoral degrees. Our Native American Language Program focuses on instruction in five different languages: Cherokee, Cheyenne, Choctaw, Creek, and Kiowa.

The Department of Anthropology is back in Dale Hall Tower as of June 20, 2012. However, some faculty office numbers have changed. Please check with individual faculty for their office locations in Dale Hall Tower (information on faculty web pages is now up to date). Phone numbers and email addresses are the same.
