Department of Communication News:

NCA Voting Begins Today, January 13th

If you are a member of NCA, you should receive your election ballot login sometime today. You may already have received it.

Michael W. Kramer, Chair of our department, is one of the candidates for NCA 2nd Vice President, who eventually serves as President of NCA. You can read his statement at

One of the easiest ways you can help make NCA better is to increase the number of members who participate in voting. We hope you will do some of the following things:

1. Vote immediately when you receive the email from NCA about the election on Tuesday, January 13 (It only takes a minute and procrastinating often leads to abstaining.)

2. Forward this message or a similar message to at least 5 other members of NCA, perhaps faculty members, former students, current graduate students, or other colleagues.

3. Post a Message on your personal Facebook page, your department webpage or Facebook page, or on your NCA interest group Facebook or webpage encouraging others to vote.

Less than 20% of NCA members usually vote in an NCA election. Please help raise that percentage this year.
