Distinguished Alumni Awards

Each year the College of Arts and Sciences presents its highest honor, the Distinguished Alumnus Award, to up to four graduates of the college.

Alumni and friends of the College are invited and encouraged to nominate an outstanding graduate as you have first-hand knowledge of OU graduates who are making a difference in your community or industry.

Nominations for the 2018 Distinguished and Young Alumni Awards are now being accepted.

Nominees must have obtained a degree, bachelor or graduate level, from the University of Oklahoma College of Arts and Sciences. Nominees for the Distinguished Alumni Award must have graduated a minimum of ten years ago to be considered. The Young Alumni Award will recognize graduates who earned their degree in the last ten years.

Current members of the College of Arts and Sciences Board of Advocates are not eligible for either award. The candidates will be presented to the Recognition Committee comprised of members of the Board of Advocates, college, and university staff for review, and the final awardees will be selected in August.
