A penniless orphan in the West Indies, Alexander Hamilton was the ultimate outcast in the outlands. This seminar, led by Forum Fellow Dr. Andrew Porwancher (Classics & Letters) on the Forum’s 2016-2017 theme, “Outcasts & Outlands,” will discuss Hamilton’s Caribbean origins as well as the art of writing biography. Readings will be distributed in advance to registered participants. Space is limited. A light lunch will be provided.
