Matjaž Vesel, How did Copernicus become a Copernican? (Plus 3 research seminars)

Matjaž Vesel, of the Institute of Philosophy, Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a Mellon Visiting Fellow with the History of Science Collections, University of Oklahoma, will give a colloquium summarizing his research on the intellectual background to Copernicus's innovations on Friday, September 21 at 3:30 pm.

Place:  Michael F. Price Hall (MFPH) room 2030.

Dr. Vesel will also present his recent work more extensively during three research seminars, "The Platonic Background to Copernicus's Work," to be held from 1:30 to 3 pm in the Gaylord Room (adjacent to the Harlow Room, in the History of Science Collections, BL 521) on September 25, October 5 and October 13.
