The Student Awards Ceremony honors the outstanding students in the college by departments, along with the recipients of the college’s many scholarships.
Departments and programs in the college are asked to send their awardee information by March 28, 2013. They may turn in the awardee name, contact information and the name of the award being presented. Each student will receive an invitation to the ceremony and notice of the award they have received.
The 2012 Student Awards Ceremony is scheduled for April 16. Awardees are asked to line up in the Regents Room on the third floor of the Union at 3:30 p.m. prior to the ceremony. No reservations are required.
The Awards Ceremony begins with a processional, then the recognition of outstanding seniors in the four divisions of the college: humanities, natural sciences, professional programs and social sciences. The Carl Albert Award for Outstanding Senior in A&S is presented, then the department awardees are presented.
Friends and family are invited to attend and enjoy the reception following the event. Awardees are encouraged to dress in business attire for the ceremony.
