7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
OU College of Architecture Design Center on Film Row, 800 W. Sheridan
Oklahoma City, OK
Join the participants of the NE OKC Photovoice Project, Forum Fellow Dr. John Harris (Regional and City Planning), local policy makers, nonprofits, local media, and others for this special event on Tuesday, October 11 from 7:00 – 9 :00 pm at the OU College of Architecture Design Center on Film Row in OKC. This is an important event taking place during an important time in Oklahoma City. While there is renewed investment and interest in the Northeast neighborhoods, these women raise their voices to tell of everyday life and shape the future of their community. Following a welcome reception and general viewing of the exhibit from 7:00– 8:00 pm, the women will present a multimedia presentation that focuses on key themes of their photography and neighborhood experiences as well as how these intersect with race and gender.
